Privacy notice

• Account details: your email address and sign-in details.
• Your stories: answers to story questions, memories, story text, titles, dedications and descriptions of the people in your book.
• Photos (optional): reference photos you upload of people in your story.
• Pictures we create for you: caricatures, cover and page illustrations.
• Recordings (optional): narration you record or upload, and any spoken story notes you record while answering questions.
• Purchases: what you bought, the amount, payment status and a link to your receipt. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Technical information: our hosting provider may record technical details such as error reports and request logs to keep the service running.

To create, store and show your storybook; to generate story drafts and illustrations when you ask us to; to let you narrate, download and share your book; to process payments and give you access to what you bought; to prevent duplicate charges and misuse; and to fix problems with the service.

• Your information is stored in our cloud database and a private file store provided through Lovable Cloud. We have not yet confirmed the storage region.
• Photos, illustrations and recordings are private by default. When you view them, the app uses temporary links that expire, generally after 15 minutes and up to one hour for the reader and video features.
• Share links: if you create a family share link, anyone who has that link can view that book's pictures, text and recordings until you turn the link off. Keep share links private.
• Site administrators can view book details (such as titles and story text), orders and generation records to provide support and run the service. Administrator screens do not open your private photo and recording files.
• The public sample book uses separate copies of pictures that the site owner chose to publish. It does not show anyone else's books.

• When you ask for a story draft, your story answers and descriptions are sent through the Lovable AI Gateway to an OpenAI text model.
• When you ask for illustrations, your scene descriptions, character descriptions and any reference photos you uploaded are sent through the Lovable AI Gateway to an OpenAI image model to draw caricatures and pages.
• We have not yet confirmed these providers' data retention periods or whether data may be used for training.

Narration is always your own voice. Recordings are stored privately with your book and used to play your book and build story videos and audio downloads. The app does not send your recordings to AI services, does not transcribe them and does not create synthetic voices.

• Only upload photos of people who have agreed, or of children you are the parent or guardian of. The app asks you to confirm this before uploading.
• Before upload, your browser normally re-saves photos to remove hidden details such as location and camera information. If your browser cannot process a file (for example some iPhone HEIC photos), the original file may be uploaded with its details intact.
• Stories may include children's names, ages and memories. Include only what you are comfortable storing and sending to the AI services described above.

Payments are handled by Stripe through a payment form embedded in our site. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly; we receive only the order outcome, amount, receipt link and payment reference. Stripe creates a customer record linked to your email address. Stripe handles this information under its own privacy policy. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. For these purchases Stripe also handles tax calculation and remittance, fraud checks, disputes and payment support, so your bank statement may show the payment as “LINK.COM*” followed by our name.

• Delete a book: removes the book's records, illustrations, photos and recordings from our storage.
• Delete your account (from Your account): removes your sign-in, books, files, purchase and package records from our app.
• Files you have already downloaded (PDFs, videos, audio) stay on your devices, and people who received a share link may have saved copies.
• Stripe keeps its own payment and customer records, which our deletion does not remove.
• Our hosting and AI providers may keep backups or logs for a period we have not yet confirmed.
