Frequently asked questions
Do I need to write a complete story first?
No. Start with a few memories, notes or answers to the story prompts. We help turn them into a story that you can review and edit before finishing your book.
Do I have to record my voice?
No. Narration is optional. You can record each page in your own voice or keep your book without audio. If you add narration, it becomes part of your listening and video experience.
Who can I make a story for?
Create a story for your children, grandchildren or someone special. Share how your family began, childhood memories, favourite adventures or personal messages you want someone to keep.
Do I need to upload family photos?
No. Photos are optional. You can describe the people in your story instead. If you choose to upload photos, they help guide the appearance of your illustrated characters.
Is this a printed book or a digital book?
Your purchase is a digital storybook. You can read it online and download a PDF and video. If you record narration, you can also download the audio. A printed book and delivery are not included.
Can I review the story and illustrations?
Yes. You can review and edit your story text and approve the illustrations before finishing your book. Each package includes a set number of illustration changes, shown in the package details.
